Lindsey Baum was a 10-year-old girl who vanished on June 26, 2009, while walking home from a friend’s house in the small town of McCleary, Washington. Her disappearance sparked a massive search effort and years of investigation. In 2017, human remains found by hunters in a remote area of eastern Washington were confirmed to be Lindsey’s. Despite this discovery, no one has been charged in connection with her abduction and murder. The FBI and local law enforcement have pursued numerous leads, and Lindsey’s case remains unsolved.

Authorities continue to investigate, and searches have taken place as recently as 2023 following new tips. A reward of up to $40,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Lindsey’s mother, Melissa Baum, continues to advocate for justice and urges the public to come forward with any information that might help solve the case.
